Terms & Conditions

Administration

  • Please complete the entry form when the link is emailed to you by the 30th June for compilation of the catalogue. Late entries cannot be included in the catalogue or festival. A printed copy must be brought with the artwork on delivery to the church on the Thursday before the event.
  • The £8 entry fee is non-refundable if you later decide not to exhibit your artwork.
  • Artwork or artwork titles cannot be altered after 30th June.
  • Artists can have a maximum of 6 pieces of framed work to display.
  • Only the exhibitor’s original artwork can be accepted.
  • All work must be for sale.
  • All artwork must be kept within the realms of public decency.
  • Craft work and sculpture will be displayed on open tables unless other arrangements have been made in advance (email [email protected]). Please label each piece alphabetically and provide a list of labelled items.
  • Personal advertising is not allowed in the church.
  • A commission of 25% of the sale price will be deducted, all of which will be donated to village organisations. Please allow for this when deciding your prices.
  • Prices must be in whole pounds.
  • No artwork can be accepted outside the times stated.
  • Backing screens are 8 feet (2.44m) high and 4 feet (1.22m) wide. Work wider than 46 inches (1.17m) may not be hung.
  • Every effort will be made to display all work submitted. If necessary, selection will be carried out by the committee, whose decision is final. Hanging and display will be done by the committee and cannot be altered.
  • Festival organisers will take every care of all artwork entered but cannot accept liability for loss or damage to works submitted. We recommend that artists take out their own insurance on their works for the duration of the festival.
  • Unsold work cannot be removed from the festival until 5.45pm on the Bank Holiday Monday of the event.
  • Sold works will be marked with a red spot.
  • Please do not remove any sold work.
  • Artwork must be checked out by festival staff. Please bear with us as the process is necessary in order to safeguard your work.
  • Data Protection Act: A computer is used to store the names and addresses of exhibitors, and for preparation of the catalogue. The data will be kept and used to compile next year’s list of invited artists. No use will be made of it other than this. Please get in touch via [email protected] if you do not wish your information to be stored.
  • Please do what you can to publicise the festival for the opening night and for the remainder of the weekend using the posters provided nearer the date. There is a poster here you can download and print.

Checklist for acceptance of artwork at the church

  • A printed copy of your entry form must be brought with the artwork on delivery to the church.
  • All artwork must be presented the Thursday before the Festival between 5pm and 7pm
  • All artwork must be marked, clearly, in capitals, on the back or base with the exhibitor’s name, address and telephone number, the title and the price.
  • Work must be presented properly for hanging with cords in place. Glass clip frames are not acceptable.
  • Artists can submit 10 items for the unframed bin. These items should be mounted, wrapped in acetate or polythene, priced in whole pounds and listed separately. This list should accompany the unframed works on the handing-in day.
  • Works have the artist’s name and address, title and price

    • ‘Limited Edition Fine Art Print’
    • ‘Colour Photocopy’
  • Framed items cannot be accepted.
